Let Me Introduce Myself
Hey there! I’m Ashley Groves, The Wedding Grove’s owner, designer, and planner with a passion for spreadsheets and post-it notes.
After working in theatre production & design for over a decade, and being my friends and family’s go-to event organizer for years, I decided to pursue planning full time. When I made that shift I was fortunate to work and grow with an award-winning event production company in Toronto.
There I was able to marry (pun fully intended) my design, production, and project management skills – and I fell even more in love with planning events.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring some trails, searching for the best restaurants around, or hanging out with my dogs.
how TWG started
Since 2020 I’ve worked with my partner delivering live-streaming services for weddings affected by COVID-19 restrictions. I realized that now, more than ever, couples need help navigating the journey of planning (and replanning, and replanning again) one of the biggest and most important events of their life.
COVID caused many changes within the event industry. When my corporate planning job pivoted to virtual, I realized I could finally follow my dream of returning to my family’s roots here in Nova Scotia. So my partner and I loaded up the car and headed East.
After a year in Nova Scotia, The Wedding Grove took root and officially launched.

I love unique venues, unexpected and custom décor, splashes of colour, suprise and delight moments curated for guests – creative, fresh, and playful elements that bring a couple’s personality to life!
